Iced Tea Recipes:

Following are some best and easy iced tea recipes.

Simple Tea:

  • 3 or 4 bags of black tea
  • Sugar to taste
  • Ice cubes
  • Water
  • Mint (optional)

Fruity Tea:

  • 3 or 4 bags of black tea
  • 1 cup pieces of any fruit
  • Sugar to taste
  • 1/2 cup of syrup
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Water
  • A sprig of mint

Strawberry Tea:

  • 3 or 4 bags of black tea
  • Sugar to taste
  • Ice cubes
  • Water
  • A sprig of mint
  • 900 grams of strawberry puree
  • 2 whole strawberries

Vanilla Green Tea:

  • 4 teaspoons of Sencha tea
  • Sugar to taste
  • Ice cubes
  • Water
  • Sprig of mint
  • Honey
  • Lemon juice
  • 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream


  • Simple Black Tea:

1-  Bring 2 cups (480 ml) of water to a boil. You can boil the water in a small saucepan or in a pot.

2-  Turn off the fire.

3-  Add 3 or 5 bags of your favorite black tea. Black teas like Ceylon tea and Keemun tea can work better, as they will not get cloudy when you let them stand. You can even choose a special blend of tea specific for iced tea.

4-  Leave the tea bags in the hot water for 5 minutes. If you leave them a little longer the tea will become too bitter; and if you leave them less time, then you will have the little taste. It will be a very strong mixture of tea, so dilute it with water momentarily. Remove the tea bags after the time has passed.

5-  Pour the tea into a pitcher. Wait 5 or 10 minutes for it to cool down.

6-  Pour 2 cups (480 ml) of cold water into the tea. This will dilute the tea and the mixture will be less strong. You can stir the mixture for better results.

7-  Refrigerate the mixture until cool. It should take 2 to 3 hours.

8-  Serve the tea. Pour the tea into a tall glass filled with ice. Squeeze a slice of lemon into the tea and add a sprig of mint on top. If you want to add sugar, start by stirring half a teaspoon and add more to your taste.

  • Fruity Tea:

1-  Make a strong black tea. Use the same method to make simple iced tea: Simply boil 2 cups of water, soak 3 or 5 tea bags in the water for 5 minutes, pour 2 cups of water into the mixture and add sugar or lemon to your taste. Pour this mixture into a jug.

2-  Refrigerate to cool. Leave the tea in the refrigerator for 2 or 3 hours.

3-  Add 1/2 cup of syrup. Stir in the mixture; if not sweet enough add more syrup.

4-  Fill 1 cup with fresh fruit slices. Cut peaches, pineapples, strawberries, raspberries, and apples into chunks until you fill 1 cup. You can sprinkle the fruit with a little lemon juice.

5-  Add the cup of fruit to the tea mixture. Stir everything until the fruit is mixed with the black tea and float evenly in the jar.

6-  Serve the tea. Pour the tea into a glass full of ice. Add a sprig of mint on top.

  • Strawberry Tea:

1-  Pour 2 quarts or 1.8 liters of hot black tea into a glass or ceramic bowl.

2-  Add 1/3 cup of icing sugar to the tea. Stir well to dissolve the sugar.

3-  Add 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice. Try it to know if you need to sweeten it more or add more lemon juice, and adjust it. Then set aside to cool.

4-  Make 31 oz or 900 g of strawberry puree. Pour the puree through a fine strainer to remove the seeds. Press the mixture with the back of a wooden spoon.

5-  When the tea has cooled, add the puree and mix it. Mix well. Pour the mixture into a jug.

6-  Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Allow the mixture to cool and settle for 30 minutes or more.

7-  Serve it. Fill a glass with ice and pour the tea into it. Add a few whole or sliced strawberries to one side of the glass as decoration.

  • Vanilla Green Tea:

1-  Leave 4 teaspoons almost heaped of Sencha tea in 1 liter or 33 ounces of hot water. Let the tea sit for 1 or 2 minutes.

2-  Strain the tea into a pitcher or a stew.

3-  Add 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice. Stir well.

4-  Add 1 tablespoon of honey. Revolve well.

5-  Stir all ingredients. Stir the tea until it is evenly mixed.

6-  Serve the tea with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to each cup and finish pouring the cold green tea on top.

Simple Homemade Iced Tea Recipe

Other Variations of Iced Tea:

  • Make sweet tea. This version is especially suitable for people who love sweet food and for outdoor barbecues. Sugar never dissolves completely in cold tea. To make this variation of tea, you can follow the recipe to make simple black tea, except that you should add 1 cup of simple syrup for every 2 cups of iced tea water. If you do not know sweet enough, you simply have to add more syrup. This tea will have an excellent flavor if accompanied with mint.


  • Make lemon tea. To make this citrus-flavored tea, start by making simple black tea, boil 2 cups of water, let stand 3 or 5 tea bags in it for 5 minutes and pour 2 cups of water into the mixture. Then fill 1/2 cup with freshly squeezed lemon juice. Stir in cold mixture. If the mixture does not have enough lemon, you simply have to add a little more. Serve this tea with ice and sugar to your liking and a sprig of mint.


  • Make vanilla tea. Prepare 2 cups of plain black tea. Let the tea cool down and add 1 cup of cold water, you can also add a few ice cubes. Add 2 teaspoons vanilla essence (extract). Serve with a spoonful of vanilla ice cream.
